What is the Innovation Pulse?

The Innovation Pulse is a short self-report readiness diagnostic that helps organisations discuss their current preparedness for innovation. It highlights perceived strengths, gaps and next actions across leadership, strategy, culture, governance, collaboration, capabilities, learning and intellectual assets.

What does the Innovation Pulse measure?

The Pulse collects perceptions across eight capability dimensions, with four questions in each. These responses suggest where the current system may need attention. They do not prove repeatable capability or independently measured performance.

What is the Innovation Index?

The Innovation Index is a 0 to 100 score generated from the Innovation Pulse. It gives organisations a simple snapshot of their current innovation readiness and helps identify which capability areas need attention first.

The index is not a judgement. It is a baseline for discussion, prioritisation and next action, not a percentile, a percentage of capability achieved or a ranking against other organisations.

Is the Innovation Pulse an audit?

No. The Innovation Pulse is not a formal audit. It is a practical readiness diagnostic designed to help organisations see patterns, gaps and next actions before deeper readiness, assurance or ISO 56001 preparation begins.

What happens after the Pulse?

After the Pulse, you receive a practical readiness snapshot. You can use it as a standalone signal, bring it into a leadership conversation, or continue into the Kin Readiness Hub where evidence, gaps, tasks and progress can be managed over time. In short:

• You receive your Innovation Index, a 0 to 100 readiness score.
• You see strengths and gaps across the eight capability dimensions.
• You get suggested next actions to prioritise first.
• You can move into the Kin Readiness Hub or the Innovation Readiness Pilot to take the work further.
