Innovation Pulse

    What is the Innovation Pulse?

The Innovation Pulse is a short readiness diagnostic that helps organisations understand how repeatable their innovation capability is today. It highlights strengths, gaps and next actions across leadership, strategy, culture, governance, collaboration, capabilities, learning and intellectual assets.

What does the Innovation Pulse measure?

The Pulse reads your innovation readiness across eight capability dimensions. Together they show how repeatable your innovation capability is today, not just how active it feels.

    • Leadership and directionLooks at whether leaders create clarity, commitment and the conditions for innovation.
    • Strategy and foresightLooks at how well the organisation reads the future and turns it into deliberate innovation choices.
    • Culture and mindsetLooks at whether people feel safe to challenge, experiment and learn from failure.
    • Processes and governanceLooks at how ideas are funded, reviewed and progressed without losing momentum.
    • Collaboration and ecosystemLooks at how well the organisation works across teams and with external partners.
    • Capabilities and skillsLooks at whether people have the skills, tools and time to innovate.
    • Value realisation and learningLooks at how ideas are turned into value and how the organisation learns from results.
    • Intellectual property and assetsLooks at how knowledge, intellectual property and intangible assets are protected and reused.

    What is the Innovation Index?

The Innovation Index is a 0 to 100 score generated from the Innovation Pulse. It gives organisations a simple snapshot of their current innovation readiness and helps identify which capability areas need attention first.

The index is not a judgement. It is a baseline for discussion, prioritisation and next action.

Is the Innovation Pulse an audit?

No. The Innovation Pulse is not a formal audit. It is a practical readiness diagnostic designed to help organisations see patterns, gaps and next actions before deeper readiness, assurance or ISO 56001 preparation begins.

    What happens after the Pulse?

After the Pulse, you receive a practical readiness snapshot. You can use it as a standalone signal, bring it into a leadership conversation, or continue into the Kin Readiness Hub where evidence, gaps, tasks and progress can be managed over time. In short:

    • You receive your Innovation Index, a 0 to 100 readiness score.
    • You see strengths and gaps across the eight capability dimensions.
    • You get suggested next actions to prioritise first.
    • You can move into the Kin Readiness Hub or the Innovation Readiness Pilot to take the work further.
    • Kin can support deeper readiness work towards ISO 56001 when you are ready.
